I found my love for photography at the age of 14, it allowed me to capture and share a world that only I could see.
I focus on themes of absence, decay and isolationism from a graphical and geometric standpoint.
I am endlessly fascinated by the dystopian aspect of everyday life. I like to decontextualize details, landscapes, architecture, objects, allowing them to stand alone as alien images.
Investigating concepts of time, change and the human experience in relation to the environment. Tariq's work is quietly self-reflective, aiming to emphasize the harmony between mankind and the manmade. Seeking to capture the beauty in moments of melancholia.
